Quantitative, scientific and technological skills are an integral part of the Salem Impact Program, but are also essential skills for success in the 21st Century. According to a study by the National Science Board, "The size of the STEM workforce grew between 2011 and 2021 for all groups.
Between 2011 and 2021, the STEM workforce grew by 5.9 million, from 29.0 million to 34.9 million, representing a 20% increase. STEM workers as a percentage of the total workforce also increased, from 21% in 2011 to 24% in 2021.(1)"
It is clear that the STEM fields will continue to grow and no matter what your intended major at Salem is, the QUEST Program is here for you to help you boost those necessary skills and assist in preparing you for the future!
