The QUEST Center

Tutoring

Be a part of the solution!

The QUEST Program is peer-tutor based and supports first- and some second-year courses in Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, and Psychology, as well as discipline-specific statistics courses in Business Administration and Sociology. The QUEST Center also provides assistance with MS Office, Moodle, Google Drive, graphing calculators, and other technology tools such as SPSS, R, Stata, and Maple by request. The support that QUEST is able to provide for these courses/topics is dependent on the availability of tutors.

In particular, QUEST provides support for the Salem Signature Competency in Quantitative Reasoning, so that students will be able to:

  • apply quantitative data in real life situations
  • interpret and evaluate mathematical models-formulas, graphs, tables and schemata
  • solve problems using quantitative data and methods
  • estimate and check solutions to problems for reasonableness.

Come see us in the Salem Library. You can also look through our online resource links and work at your own pace. Whatever your learning style, we can accommodate it at QUEST.
