The Writing Center, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, has developed a rather complete website on writing the paper. The "Tips and Tools" section offers information on how to write various types of papers, addressing areas specific to the various types.
A literature review is NOT a review of one piece of literature. It is a review of a BODY of literature on a particular topic.
