As part of Salem Library’s mission to create personalized learning experiences, the Personal Librarians provide research and learning support for faculty and their courses both in-person and online through the LMS. This support is designed to address your students’ immediate information needs while also helping them develop fluency in information literacy. Face-to-Face Learning
Your Personal Librarian can design a self-contained One-Shot session that provides a high-level overview of specific information literacy topics or an ongoing Semester Partnership that offers a more comprehensive research experience. Topics can include:
Your Personal Librarian can embed College Research I modules into your course’s LMS page. These modules encourage your first year students to build their information literacy skills at their own pace. You can select to include up to 6 research-focused modules which will take about an hour each per week to complete and can be automatically graded. Topics include:
