Finding Books About Individuals

The most efficient way to find books using the library's online catalog (see search box below) is to use the person's name in a search; last name, first name.   Example: Angelou, Maya

The online catalog will produce a results list of titles with your person's name either listed in the title, as author, or as a subject heading.

Select a title and once the full record is available, notice in the record a listing of  "Subjects." Find the subject that marches your individual and click on it. This will bring up all the titles associated with your person as a "subject" or author.

You can then limit the results by "Content Type - Biography."  You can also limit the results by library for "Salem Libraries" to view only print and ebooks held at Gramley Library.
