The ACT (American College Test) is a standardized test used for admissions to colleges in the United States.
What to expect on the ACT
The ACT contains four multiple choice tests: English, mathematics, reading, and science, as well as an optional writing test. The ACT is approximately three hours in length.

The SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) is a standardized test used for college admissions in the United States.
What to expect on the SAT
There are two sections to the SAT: Evidence-based reading and writing, and Math. The evidence-based reading and writing is comprised of two different tests--one that focuses on reading, and a second that focuses on language and writing. The SAT is approximately three hours long.
